Career and Credentials

I received my formal training from Ferris State University, The University of Phoenix and the Coach Training Alliance. I hold numerous licenses, certifications and designations including my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration. I continue to take classes and courses in various fields of interest including psychology and coaching. During my 30 year career encompassing business management, securities and real estate, I have been noted for sharing the philosophies and principles that are the core of my success. My mission statement to “help other people better their own lives,” is realized through optimization of one’s potential, to discover one’s purpose, and achieve success.

I now deliver my success proven tools and strategies through Co-Creative Coaching. My primary focus is on helping people achieve professional and personal success by providing personalized programs and support through a co-creative partnership. I also support my favorite charitable organizations including the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA). Part of the proceeds from Co-Creative Coaching are donated to these and other "pet" causes.

I am a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), the American Psychology Association (APA) the American Counseling Association (ACA), the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA), National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) and the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE) amongst others.

My Story

My story may not be unique. You may be able to relate. I went to University as expected and ended up with my BS in Business Administration while working full-time in various management positions in health and fitness and hospitality fields.

After graduation, I did not have a defined direction in my life but ended up accepting great employment offers. As my career advanced and I succeeded in a field, I would feel unsatisfied and the time would come that I would want to do something different. Through many industries, many successes and a few failures, came to understand that I needed to figure out my purpose so I could find satisfaction and happiness in my professional life. I saw so many others around me unhappy and struggling - some holding on to situations that made them miserable. I knew there had to be a better way to live. It just took the courage and tenacity to escape "the box."

Many career/personality tests, many seminars and books and a few great coaches helped me define my direction and create my success plan. Now I do what I love - helping others succeed by helping them define their own direction and co-create their success plan. I am a Success Coach which means my specialty is helping people conquer challenges and navigate transitions for success in their personal and professional lives. I also am a Personal Pet Loss Mentor which allows me to help others with the difficult decisions and aftermath of losing a beloved companion.

Why did I choose Coaching as opposed to Counseling or Consulting?

I explored the other professional helping fields. In Counseling, one tends to focus on "fixing" people that are non-functional in some aspect of their lives by dwelling on the past. It is an admirable profession as there are people that are clinically mentally ill and need therapy and medications to function in a safe and healthy way.

In Consulting, one comes in as the expert and gives instructions for the client to follow to "fix" their problem and then leaves. This is also a great profession for professionals and businesses that need help finding their weaknesses and do not have the time or capability to find it from within.

In Coaching, I have found that the focus and relationship to be totally different. The coach and client work together in a co-creative partnership. The coach wants to see the client succeed but the coach does not push her own agenda or judgement on the client. The coach is not trying to "fix" the client but wants to help the client uncover her own strengths, talents and solutions. The focus in on the present - and how to move forward. In my opinion, the majority of people have had problems of some sort in the past - some worse than others - and we all must learn how to move forward. Coaching helps with that.
